App is working, but puzzles are not! Avidly waiting for a fix!
New app is seriously flawed! From a clear app, it is now a jumble of editions and pages! Not good!

The new app is no improvement over the old one and is, in fact, a step backwards. It has an ugly look and feel and is unpleasant to navigate. But the worst is that it is difficult to read because the type size is adjustable only in steps. So one size is too big while the next one down is too small. This is so annoying that I'll probably have to give up my subscription. What a pity that a fine newspaper has such a poor app.

The only thing that’s going quickly is the bill of the subscription of The Daily Telegraph. Can’t download a single edition. When I asked for help I couldn’t send my question and what to do so now I do this in not a gracious way.
I had this problem before and canceled the subscription but I wanted to try it again. Same results.

The best UK newspaper. I read the paper on my iPad. Very good indept stories but there seems to be a bug in the puzzles department. Codewords and sudoku are very sluggish which means to delete the whole app and start all over again by subscribing etc. I would like to see this solved.

I am writing this review after discovering that a very old assessment of mine was being displayed in the App Store. I stopped subscribing about three years ago when the price was increased to a level I found unacceptable.

Very good newspaper. I do not want a subscription but like to download single Numbers. Is that possible?

The only innovation in this app lately is an increase in the number of adverts! A number of improvements should be considered:
- There are too many graphics containing illegibly small text, yet without the means to expand them to the width of the screen.
- There are too few images in articles, and always clustered at the top.
- Where images are presented in swipe-groups, the bar showing the legend and location in the group overlays the images. It should be beneath them.
- The puzzle engine keyboard gives no visual feedback and moves sideways when you type on it, losing keystrokes.

The new Telegraph app replaces a buggy unreliable product that was around for more than a year. The new version seems to have been redesigned from the ground up. It is snappier, even stylish in its page transitions, and has many subtle new features, such as:
- Improved menu dynamics (no more bugs in the Gallery menu), better handling of stories that contain groups of smaller topics.
- The ability to scroll from stories into the Galleries, and from one gallery to the next, and then into the Cartoons, albeit for the price of an ad or two in between.
- A rewritten puzzle engine with different dynamics but so far only one bug (it declared on 02 Oct that the puzzle belonged to 01 Oct).
- And best of all, no more crashes every morning and no annoying 3-4-5 second wait when reactivating the app after viewing something else.
The new app is not without some strange behaviour: I downloaded and read the 03 Oct edition in the early hours of that morning, but later in the day the front page content vanished and is still absent. If I click on a space where one of the front-page stories should be, I just get a spinning wait symbol that never goes away.

I like the paper but the app is a disappointment. Just tried to view my subscription and the app hangs. The only way to get exit is to power off the iPad.

It's an app that looks like a website, updated once a day. You dont have the feeling that you read a newspaper.

Reading the newspaper via the I Pad has been mostly enjoyable except the very annoying crashes, which reverts to having to renew your subscription and the loss os all previous editions. I have cancelled my subscription and will wait untill the bugs are gone for good. Shame still the best newspaper in the world.
Since the expert help from the helpdesk no more problems, now enjoying all the daily news. It would be nice to also have a few of the supplements on a saturday.

Nice applet. Bit static interface. Content refreshed once a Day. Crashes sometimes (memory related!?).
