Riven (Legacy) for iPadOS

After being used to Real Myst this game feels at first a bit limited and immobile. But don't give up! Riven proves to be so worthwhile in the end. It's full of surprises and there's a lot of stuff to discover. The pictures are beautifully made, with a lot of detail. The animations are often of great suspense. But most important: the mysterious mood of this world is so intriguing and compelling. Great game!

I really like this game and its series. I've been playing this since I was like 8 years old up to the point that I could solve it within 2 hours (including disc changing) instead of the initial 20 hours it took my father and me the first time.
Playing my old game on the iPad is really taking me back. However, I miss the gentle atmosphere the game used to have on the pc. I recall moving water, flowing lava and movie sequences that had more than 10fps. The rotating chamber and comparable animations really bug me.
I know there is a size limit for apps, but this could be avoided by making high quality movies an in-game download. An option, as this would increase the overall size of the app (and not everyone has the storage space to spare).
If such an update would surface, I would love to play the game again and enjoy its scenery like I did when I was a child.
Riven is awesome, like the entirety of your series. I hope to see Exile in the AppStore as well.

Mooi app alleen de beelden hadden mooier mogen zijn. Misschien dat er update voor gemaakt kan worden zodat de filmpjes er ook mooier uit gaan zien. Voor de rest een mooi spel. En uren speel plezier.

Het spel is precies zoals vroeger. Het blijft even magisch :-)
Uren en uren gamen. Waarom worden er niet meer van dit soort spellen gemaakt?

Sorry to say very disappointing (after really enjoying the wonderful Myst). Riven has NO 3D environment. NO retina resolution. NO zoom in/out. In fact the pictures are so bad, that on an iPad 3 you can actually see the interference/moiree lines from the copying machine. Boo on you Cyan for trying to cash so easily. 2 stars to compensate for the story which is still great.

Works like a dream on iPad2. Very nice job redering this game for iPad. This game is awesome. Plays better on iPad than on pc.
