PocketBook Reader

Sinds de update naar iOS 26 crasht de PocketBook-app direct bij het opstarten. In de zeldzame gevallen dat hij wél opent, sluit hij onmiddellijk weer zodra je naar het overzicht met boeken gaat. De app is daardoor onbruikbaar.
Ik heb al opnieuw geïnstalleerd, de cache gewist en de Cloud opnieuw geprobeerd, maar niets helpt. Op Reddit melden veel gebruikers hetzelfde probleem. Hopelijk komt er snel een update, want zo is de app waardeloos.

I love this app and love the way it works with my ereader! I initially searched for reviews here because after years of use the app crashes on startup when using iOS 26. However, I immediately saw the detailed developer response which fixed my issue. I wanted to leave this review to compensate for the 1 stars that have popped up to this unfortunate bug. Once again thanks to the devs for the great app and detailed response!

Good application and works as described. Only extremely annoying feature of this app, is that is associates the .txt extension to the application and anytime I want to view a txt file it opens in pocketbook. I wish I could switch that off.

In al die jaren dat ik de Pocketbook e-reader heb, heeft de app nog nooit gewerkt. Ik had als workaround dat ik via de supertrage browser op de ereader via bol.com de boeken erop zet. Maar die werkt nu ook niet meer. De app weer eens geprobeerd, tegen beter weten in. Ik kan er niet mee inloggen om mijn ereader. Krijg continu dezelfde herhalende bug als ik de qr-code scant. Echt schandalig dat daar nooit iets aan is gedaan.

Terrible for iPhones, but I still use it because I’ve read more than 150 books with this app on my previous androids.

Your app is not working, neither is the pocketbook. It wont let me log in neither create a new account on the app nor the pocketbook

Well, the interface is okay. When loaded from iPhone: Reads ePub files without much trouble, but some simply don’t show up. Some files that do show up can only be read from PB cloud and not downloaded for offline use. Some ePubs don’t get uploaded, won’t sync at all. Some cloud-based files can’t sync either. Reason: “error”. Very helpful. Mailing support: address doesn’t work.

Let op, ze verzamelen extreem veel “Usage Data”, inclusief welke knoppen en menus je klikt, etc.

Onmogelijk om te gebruiken voor mijn online bibliotheekboeken. Met de iPad gedownload, onmogelijk om in de app te zetten. De e-reader ook niet.

Doesn’t scan local files on iOS. And doesn’t Connect to iCloud, only MS and Google-drives

I want to create a cloud account. When I try to sign in it says service unavailable.
When I go to the store to browse books it as the same thing.
How to register and synchronise my books?

Amazing ereader with lots of different settings, and the search function within books is much faster than the one used in Apple's Book app

I’m trying to register for cloud. Filled in email, first name, name, passwd. Then click ‘register’. Error %1 file does not exist.

When I make an account on the app, the app crashes when I try to login after that. I do not know what I am doing wrong. Pls help.

Fantastic app. Only the fact that it does not support auto lock means that it drains my old battery during the night of I forget to turn it off. Always. Therefore my alarm does not work (as my battery is drained). Please add the option to auto lock. Please.

The reader works - juist like a thousand other ones - but once a book is opened, there’s no way to close it. I have to shut down the entire app and relaunch it. Tapping middle of the page doesn’t work.
Extremely impractical for reading short stories.

While it took two books in without me needing to sync my tablet with my pc, the other two it would not show until I had closed the app and reopened it.
When I started reading a book and later came back to it, it started at the first page of the chapter in stead of where I had come at. Plus it seemed frozen. I was unable at first to go to the proper page or to the library or do anything. Closing the app and re-opening it had no effect at first, but the third time I was able to go back to the library.

Everything is awesome, and there're no better reader for iOS, except for strange scrolling bug in continuous mode: when i'm scrolling by 5 or so lines it jumps a whole page, and there's some inertia also. This bug drives me crazy, so -2 stars only for this.
