The learning method and materials are great, but the app is buggy and shuts down sometimes.
I would also prefer the option for words to be marked as know to be disabled by default.

Learnt Swedish with Linq when I was living in Stockholm! Now learning Dutch. Repetition is king! The app is designed well!
I would like to point to one thing that is a limitation of the app currently. You are unable to translate longer sentences and sometimes it breaks the tempo. If we can fix this, this app will become perfect.

Echt wel goede manier om je woordenschat te vergroten maar helaas worden veel Griekse woorden verkeerd vertaald. Dus niet altijd betrouwbaar

I used this platform to purchase a service that was presented as €0.70 per day, with the option to use my Apple Pay balance (€10) for payment.
Without my explicit or conscious choice, however, the most expensive subscription was activated and a significant amount was charged to my credit card instead. During the checkout process, it was not clearly communicated that:
•I was entering into a subscription,
•the subscription would be automatically renewed, and
•the most expensive plan was being selected.
As soon as this became clear to me, I cancelled the subscription immediately. Despite this, no reasonable solution or refund was offered, and the company refers only to its general terms and conditions.
To me, this feels like a misleading and non-transparent sign-up process. I would strongly advise other consumers to be cautious.

Interesting content and rich in vocabulary but often woefully inaccurate when it comes to kanji reading. When clicking on words to hear the pronunciation the voice is often garbled and very often complete nonsense going off on a demented rant. Not reliable at all! It became like this pretty recently, so I don’t know what happened but it’s sometimes enough to make me want to give up. Which is a pity because up to when this started (maybe a year ago) I was enjoying the japanese section.
I also study Czech and Russian and I have no problems with them at all. I would rate these much higher

The free mode poorly explains itself. I wasted all my 20 lingqs on an easy course (thought I had to click every word to pass because of the colours), now I can’t get started in an intermediate course because I can’t even click on words.
Not going to pay for an app I’ve barely tried and had an unpleasant experience with, especially with the relatively high cost

Its a very good app but you literally need to pay if you want to use the woorden-list option unlimitedly and this is actually the part of the app that I find the weakest part. The design of the word-bank is very boring and as far as I see, you cannot edit the example sentences provided for each word. Example sentences are cut from the text where you found the word and normally have no begin and end and very useless. So as far as I see, I have to pay for an option which is the weakest part of the app so, until now, I could not persuade myself to pay although I’m using it for a while.

LingQ is my main tool to learn languages for more than ten years. It’s great, but:
- my flashcards settings could be saved as I prefer (selecting the word level and criteria)
- the languages could be organized by the level of knowledge, more words known
- the speaking mode during the lessons could be shorter, without a emoji reaction

It would be great to see all the languages organized by the number of known words. Also, the vocabulary review never keep specific settings chosen. For example: I prefer to review always words level 4, filtered by importance. It’d be great to have it as preferred settings. I’d be great to have such changes. Also this feedback is here for quite sometime and never got answer

I am using this app for 2 years now and I have more than 10 thousand lingqs. The problem is I have really no way to learn all these because the language have some other 100 thousand words.
I don’t understand why this app doesn’t utilise this great database and create me personalised paths or ai generated stories to help me learn these lingqs that I’ve accumulated. Otherwise what good does this database of lingqs do me?
If I knew LingQ could buy it, I could even develop this as an add-on to be honest.

Steve convinced me by his own example that the comprehensive input just works. It’s a fun and exciting way of improving your skills. If you’ve learned any language before or are in progress currenly, this application will help you a lot.

I’m am giving this app a five star but it has some drawbacks that I found them irritating.
1. The interference of the app is a big issue. It’s chaos! I don’t know why I have to scroll through all the contents for all the levels when I have already made a profile for the Dutch moderate level! It takes me time and energy every time I open the app to find the proper content.
2. The flash cards are not very handy. You can check the app (duo cards) which uses AI powered sentences to see how smooth the use of the app is.(as a friendly suggestion)
The app offers many free contents which I have found very helpful and has a lot of potential to grow. I appreciate your efforts for making this app and hope it gets better and grow more.
