De app werkt goed en de airco doet wat hij moet doen. Geen probleem. Maar als je em op timer hebt staan en bijvoorbeeld dat op 5 uur de airco uit moet gaan wordt je gewekt met een Pinkeltje. Zo van hee “wordt wakker ik ga uit”. Dat ik zo irritant en niet uit te zetten. Als ik dat had geweten had ik voor een ander merk gekozen. Dus denk goed na voordat je een LG koopt.

Al sinds enige tijd heb ik de wasmachine van LG in bezit en ben er heel tevreden over. In het begin gebruikte ik het zonder app, maar sinds ik de app heb gedownload vind ik het ideaal om af te lezen hoelang mijn machine nog draait en geeft de app een seintje als de machine uitgedraaid is. Helemaal top.

Es ist eine unverfrorene Frechheit mit der LG im Namen seiner Geräte die Daten der Nutzer ausspioniert. Um eine Klimaanlage in der App anzumelden benötigt diese meinen genauen Standort. Für die Anmeldung in der App wird eine Benutzerregistrierung mit Namen und Geburtsdatum benötigt. Am Ende steht der gläserne Nutzer, der aber keine echten Vorteile von der App hat. Meine Mielegeräte sind alle Netzwerkfähig ohne einen Datenstriptease. Ich werde in Zukunft wohl auf LG-Geräte verzichten. Datenschutz ade!

LG keeps ignoring this fact. And apple keeps removing reviews about this subject, AND remains complicit in hosting this app that practices ILLEGAL cookie consent.
Besides requiring the app to allow unneeded bluetooth and precise wifi location before we can even start to locate our devices. (Why need it when connected to the same local network). We are first required to give our ‘one option consent’ for LG’s privacy policy AND cookie policy.
Combining and blind consent is ILLEGAL in the Netherlands.
Also the cookie policy does NOT differentiate between required technical and tracking and advertising cookies, this is also ILLEGAL in the Netherlands.
Furthermore without blindly agreeing to this combination of policies, we are UNABLE to use all functionalities of our very expensive devices, this too is ILLEGAL in the Netherlands.
Advice to @apple, you are on notice. Remove this review again, and you will be facing a class-action lawsuit as a consequence. Last warning.
Advice to @LG. Adhere to Dutch and EU law. If not, you too will we subjected to a class-action lawsuit. Also last warning.
If you want an online source, just search for ‘EU cookie compliance’, where user centric has a clear explanation per country.

Het zou fijn zijn als er in de app ook meer ventilator standen zijn. Op de afstandsbediening heb ik 5 snelheden en in de app maar 3. Zou dit aangepast kunnen worden in de app? Verder werkt de app prima

What's the point of having this app for a washing machine if I can't customize the cycles? Washing machines were better in the past when you could just program them for whatever you wanted, now it's just stupid AI determining what cycle to use.

Fijne app. Doet wat het moet doen. Ik zou graag de functie erop willen voor het uitschakelen van het verlichte display op m’n airco. Dit kan wel via de afstandsbediening en niet via de app

This is one of few apps on iPados that cannot function properly (cannot be used to operate devices in the LAN) when a vpn connection is active. This should not be the case!

Puur bedoelt voor het volgen van jou, je kan de app niet eens gebruiken als je de locatie permissie weigert. Je tv heeft zelfs je postcode nodig om ingesteld te worden.

De app is superhandig om alle functies van de airco te gebruiken. Maar met elke update wordt de software trager en buggy.

Please give us functions to turn off the airco lights in the app, and turn off the beep sounds. It shouldn’t be that easy…

Heb de voorwaarden gelezen. Als klant ben ik simpelweg een product, na de koop van de dure aircos wordt ik gebruikt voor het verzamelen, combineren en delen van mijn gegevens met derden. Absoluut walgelijk en onacceptabel. Nooit meer LG!

The app show the temperature in steps of 0.5 degrees, however with the controls in the app it is only possible to change the temperature in whole degree’s. Besides as mentioned by others the option in the app to disable the display and sound effects on the ac would be a game changer when using routines that run at night.

After updating the app the connectivity has been broken for my AC. Terrible application and too much useless functions. Please just keep it simple and reliable.

I have an AC unit and in the lasted update I can no longer go into its settings through the app. It always gets stuck and I have to reset the whole app.
I does work to turn on and off my unit and any changes I make with the remote are shown so the connection works but the app doesn’t allow me to go into the screen where I can change any detail

De app kan al dagen enkel de LG smart tv aanzetten, maar that’s it. Kan niks ermee bedienen en zelfs niet de tv uitzetten. Heb alles al geprobeerd, tv & app instellingen, updaten, verwijderen & opnieuw installeren, stekker tv & modem eruit, wifi opnieuw opstarten etc. Heel irritant dit! Pls fix dit zsm!

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to disconnect ThinQ from Google Home. My LG devices aren’t in the Google Home app and the Google Assistant is unable to control the devices. It’s just so weird. The ThinQ app says it’s connected to Google Assistant, while Google shows no connection to ThinQ at all.
Also, there seems to be no simple option in the ThinQ app to disconnect from third party services (like Google), which is extremely frustrating.

Disabled Home Assistant API access with the SmartThinQ LGE integration. Unfortunately, the official LG integration is missing many sensors, such as actual power usage and swing control. A poor choice by LG. LG is no longer an interesting brand to me. I specifically bought LG devices for Home Assistant support with all te sensors.
