Headspace: Meditation & Sleep

I’ve been a headspace lover for 10 years.. but the past years the app has been changing from simplistic and great to chaotic and too complicated. There are a lot of videos and things that you need to do instead of just meditating. As a consequence i started to dislike the app and not meditating anymore so decided to move to another app. Also it has become quite expensive

I love their mediation content but recently they have made home screen fully suggestion based instead of their old design — which had one or two suggestions with mainly courses you have subscribed to. Now the home screen is annoying, I can’t find content i have subscribed to and added to favorites. Clearly not extending my subscription anymore!

Coming back the app has a layout that annoys me. How can something that aims at focus have such a confusing and distracting overview page. I started a course but that does not show on the homepage… I feel they are overshooting with the amount of material. It feels like some kind of Pinterest. Thats not good.

Wat een verschrikkelijke app. Constant pop-ups met vragen over je stemming en doelen terwijl je juist naar deze app komt omdat je moet ontspannen. Mega stressvol. Ik raad het af!

I’m extremely frustrated with my experience trying to install the Headspace Apple Watch app. The App Store and Headspace support pages clearly promote the app as available, so I spent a significant amount of time reinstalling, reconnecting, and troubleshooting—only to find out after all that effort that the app is no longer supported. This lack of clear communication is unacceptable and feels misleading. I wasted my time and energy because of outdated information. Please update your information immediately to prevent others from going through the same thing.

Ik weet niet wat er anders is maar de afgelopen weken heb ik vooral last van meditatie onderdelen die vast lopen of helemaal niet openen in de app..erg vervelend want de app was eerst echt top

The makers of the app are increasingly going woke. This is very disturbing to me, making the app no longer my place to relax and unwind. Very sad about it.

I use the app for more than 6 years and I really like the meditations offered. I also have a paid subscription. However, the app is slowly losing its value because of multiple things. The app crashes during meditations or while I explore new options. The real value for me are the meditations and I feel overwhelmed by the other features that are being pushed a bit too much. If I filter meditations I expect to find meditations and not extensive suggestions of affirmations, sleepcasts and wind downs. It is just misleading and confusing. Please let the users choose their content. It is disappointing to see the value constantly going down

Pros
- I like the meditations;
- It’s nice that you can choose a length for most.
Cons
- The coaches are a bit uncanny so I don’t use those sessions;
- Sometimes I feel like I’m spoken to like a child;
- The ‘home’ glitches often;
- There are no widgets;
- Disappointing that there is no option to create your own collections.

Pls don’t bring ai to this kind of content. We’ve enough of this allready in different apps.

Tried to relax this morning using this app. But the sound kept suddenly stopping to my airplay speakers. Which got me more tense.

Long time user here - thank you for the great redesign of the home page. The old “Day view” was confusing, and presented too many things which got in the way of what I really wanted - the course I am currently working on. Just bring back the integrated animations within sessions, and it’ll be perfect!

See titel; very annoying. Restart of app needed after selecting duration of a session etc. Crashes also at the end of a session.

The app will not load most meditations and occasionally the navigation bar will disappear, requiring a force restart of the app to get it to work again. I’m not sure how they screwed up the testing so badly on recent app updates, but I need to get a refund on my subscription because none of the content is accessible. Such a disappointment.

I have been using this app, on and off but now the main menu changed with what to do daily to recents. I really like the old daily menu because it made it easier to what to do trough the day. I hope there will be option to go back to this.

I wish there was meditation in my language (Dutch) it would be awesome if that there’s an option for that language. Meditation in English is for me very difficult to follow. Then it would I be giving 5 stars. But for now 4

I have used this app for years. But due to the amount of content it has become cumbersome to navigate around. I don’t find it intuitive. It has lots of content i am not interested in, it actually starts to become more difficult to find what I am looking for and even more content is being added. For me to a point that I am using the app less and less.
A pity, because it was simply the best. It hasn’t improved. I am so annoyed to for example see content for kids. The content is too much. I will quit my subscription as I am using it less and less
