Garmin Connect™

Coming to Garmin from a hardcore Apple Watch fan is very hard. The watch and all the metrics are great but the app and the user interface are like made in 2002. I like old school but this is ancient. How hard is to hide two good programmers and two good designers?!?

Since few weeks issues connecting with iPhone, didnt change anything, out of nowhere stopped connecting. Have to go through connection setup again and again to reconnect

Na iedere laadsessie is het toestel de verbinding kwijt. Moet de app van telefoon worden verwijderd en opnieuw geïnstalleerd worden. Erg vervelend.

Waardeloze app, zeer onbetrouwbaar. Weer mijn stappen niet gesynced deze week en dus weer mijn serie van ruim 100 dagen onderbroken.

Sinds de laatste update ontbreekt de snelheids grafiek in de Garmin Connect bij de functie roeien. De gegevens worden wel doorgegeven Strave en dus ook opgeslagen.

Op iPhone is het opslaan van andere interval afstand of tijd niet meer mogelijk maar blijft op de standaard staan

Er zijn heel veel zaken die geregistreerd worden en het motiveert me om er naar te kijken en meer te gaan sporten. De app is niet heel intuitief ingedeeld dus het is even wennen en soms erg zoeken.

Often, the app doesn’t recognize that my watch is connected and therefor won’t sync. This while the watch is listed as ‘Connected’ under Bluetooth settings of my phone.

I can no longer update my workouts, for example change the distance of how long I want to run. I can’t update existing workouts but also when creating a new one the default distance is 1km which can’t be updated - the changes don’t get saved!

This app used to work nice, but it does not pair with my Forerunner 645 Music anymore. After an update the app managed to log itself out of my Garmin account, that hasn’t happened in the last 5 years since I have this particular iPhone. Logged in again, the app lost the pairing with my watch. Can’t pair anymore with the watch, tried everything.
Reading the other reviews about connection failures one wonders if Garmin uses any modern automated testing framework for their software releases… It’s 2026 and you don’t use a Gitlab/Github backed CI/CD workflow?

Gisteren (vrijdag 27 februari) deed de stappenteller het nog. Dat kon ik in de app terug vinden. Einde middag was alles in eens weg. Geen stappenteller meer. Opnieuw het horloge (oude forerunner 35) opgestart maar geen stappenteller! Wel de route geregistreerd die ik had gelopen. Tot nu altijd tevreden geweest met de oude forerunner 35.

Please add option to add shoe mileage when adding gear. Besides “first use”, having an option to add mileage helps when adding a shoe that has already been used before/tracked via another app.

app asks WAY too much access than necessary to work for something we already pay for
and app is still very slow and UIX has much room for improvement

Met de laatste update van deze app op iPhone klopt de weergave van de activiteit roeien niet meer. De grafiek die de snelheid toont geeft geen juiste informatie.
Alle data is wel goed opgeslagen, alleen de grafiek is fout en niet meer bruikbaar.
Dit lijkt te liggen aan de presentatie in de app, ook de oudere roeitochten (die vroeger wel goed werden weergegeven) kloppen nu niet meer.

Sinds laatste twee updates kan ik mijn horloge fenex 6s solar niet meer connecten met de app! Alles geprobeerd en alles adviezen opgevolgd maar het is nog steeds niet gelukt!

App its not easy to navigate… and functions like drag and drop dont even work properly, easily triggered when you just want to scroll. Its not normal taking more than a hour to setup up a exercise plan
