Coffee Meets Bagel Dating App

i heard this app used to be pretty decent so i went to try it for myself. the free version doesn’t offer much, and the subscription plans are very expensive compared to the other dating apps. upon purchasing the subscription, i don’t feel like i got my money worth either. i’d recommend anyone to try other apps instead of cmb, they’re cheaper and offer more for your time and money.

I couldn’t even finish the account verification and they already tried to dox me.
It said my account was suspended while I was choosing my pictures I couldn’t even finish the sign up process.
There was no option to get verified trough checking your face like on tinder and bumble. They force you to dox yourself by showing your ID or passport. So I couldn’t even make an account. I even tried it again with a different number and the same thing happened. These companies are pure spyware and I care about my privacy that’s why I don’t give them sensitive data. Yet there are no alternatives because these companies have a monopoly they’re all owned by the same parent company. And the few exceptions barely have any users.

All useful features are locked behind a paywall. Every 5th click in this app prompts an "upgrade request".
Prices are very high.

Afzetters. Je hebt alleen iets aan de app als je betaalt. Als je vervolgens betaalt voor gelijk 3 maanden (80€), krijg je 3 profielen voorgesteld en dat is het. App wordt door niemand gebruikt dus heb je er niks aan dat je hebt betaald (nauwelijks profielen voor je voorkeuren). Dus betaal NOOIT hiervoor.

I love the idea of this app, but unfortunately it doesn’t work well practically speaking. Not a lot of local participants and for non-paying members it moves super slowly until you get a match.
In 2023, there was an outage (about a week) and it was very concerning regarding the security of the app and the data shared there.

Not many people. Just few options a day to match with people. Not recommended, as they want you to pay for their premium account.

Turned off all the notifications, but it stills keeps sending the same notification every hour. Annoying

Goede app, verfrissend omdat het iets meer op inhoud mikt dan op plaatjes. Nadeel is dat je al snel moet betalen.

What a horrible money pit. 1 like a day and everything else costs a LOT of money. Don't waste your time on this and don't support this ripoff company.

Netherlands is not yet ready. Too few people on the moment, which makes the app not usable. Futher the idea is great! Hopefully in the futher multiple people can provit off this app!
