CityMaps2Go Pro Offline Maps

It used to work well but it is now almost useless after all the updates. Now I cannot even download an offline map

CityMaps2Go used to be a great app. But not anymore. Severe bugs have not been fixed for years and since iOS 18.x maps are not shown anymore once you restart the app or the phone. Useless! An App update is urgently required to fix this issue but hasn’t happened yet and I doubt whether they will do it in future.

Often it only shows empty map with a cursor for current location, especially… when internet is not available. But even with available, but limited internet (e.g. China) it doesn’t work.

I’ve been using this app since the start. But a couple of years ago offline maps suddenly stopped working. The developer is aware, but doesn’t seem willing to fix it. Sad.

For the second time, two years of traveling over the world data gone…
I opened the app, and do not get any maps anymore… Citymaps2go pro….
now i understand why it’s called ‘2 go…’
All that work, gone…!

DONT BUY THIS CRAPPY APP!
It failed me just when it should not.
I’ve downloaded a map for the whole region and yet nothing shows up apart from the cursor of the current location.
I see other people are having the same issue, but the app has no built-in feedback function, and there is 0 support.

CityMaps2Go use to be a great app. Now it’s very slow with zooming en scrolling in de map, even on my iPad Pro. Also the search option is terrible. If I am looking for a top Places (very populair building for example) in local or region Nothing pops up, or somethimes I get a results at the other side of the world.
I have a paid version, and could always plan the best holidays with this app, now it’s a hard to use app and it looks like this app needs a great update .

Great app which I have been using for years on all my international trips.
Ability to download maps for offline use without roaming is perfect and my favorite places were safe and sound in the Ulmon hub when my phone was reset.
Definite must have app for frequent travelers!

Scrollen door de kaart gaat steeds langzamer. Veel haperingen.
Search function is getting worse

I was so happy with this app because of the personal notes and pins I could add. But after every single iOS update I do not ene see any map anymore without WiF. First i I have to remove the whole app and then download it again from the AppStore. Please can you do something about that please please

I have used this app when traveling for many years, but it’s becoming more user unfriendly with every update. Biggest issues on both pro and standard versions:
- Downloaded maps don’t work without internet access on a regular basis
- Scrolling through maps is very slow at times - The search function doesn’t show all options or only shows a place after typing it’s full name
Maps are very detailed, and the option to use several colourized categories is really helpful. However, I’ve recently switched to maps.me as performance is far superior.

After 10 years being a Pro User. I no longer can use maps off-line. Support is poor or non existing. So very very disappointing. Time to ditch this app and surge for something different. Do not get this app, you will be disappointed.

A recent update appeared to have crushed som nasty bugs, but alas. The app is still very sluggish when scrolling through a map, sometimes it takes forever to download a map, and data on the map are no longer automatically recognised. The app has gotten worse after the recent update. It has gone from hero to zero.

Could have been aan great app. Fine maps with a lot of data. But although I have downloaded offline maps for my area, the app doesn’t show them without having access to mobile data. It defeats the whole purpose of offline maps. Unusable in the mountains.

I use the premium version of the app for years with pleasure. All our travels are pointed. Very nice to navigate in city’s with the app by foot. Now the search function doesn’t work correct anymore.

After a year of horror, the app is updated and the maps are working smoothly again. Tears of joy. Thank you so much.

Ik ben heel tevreden over City maps 2 Go. Ben chauffeur en kan heel makkelijk al mijn adressen/plaats van bestemming een aantekening maken op de kaart van city maps. Het is een super app, En zeker als je CM2GO Pro of Premium heb. Het is 1 keer een paar euro betalen en je kan heel Europa op je tablet of telefoon zetten , of 1 van de andere continenten.
