Charly Cares | Oppas App

We had a very discouraging experience with CharlyCares. The “angel” we booked simply didn’t show up and never responded to any of our messages. To make matters worse, the phone number on her profile turned out to be fake. I was under the impression that CharlyCares verifies their babysitters and their contact details—after all, trust is supposed to be at the core of the service, isn’t it?
Because of this, we ended up missing a theatre performance we had really been looking forward to. What’s also disappointing is that, despite advertising 24/7 support when you sign up and pay the membership fee, CharlyCares is actually only reachable on weekdays from 8:30 to 17:00. When you really need help, that makes a big difference.

Niet goed ze hebben geld van me rekening genomen zonder dat ik het wist en er stond dat ik voor niks hoefde te betalen ze hebben 9,95 van mij. Rekening gehaald

De app werkt erg slecht en is slecht gecodeerd naar functioneel gebruik. Er staan nog allerlei codes in en hij laadt heel slecht. Ik hoop dat er wat aan gedaan wordt.

Wat een goede release van de nieuwe app. Alles werk veel beter en heb weer binnen 1 minuut een oppas gevonden.

Menubar bovenin valt weg achter icoontjes waardoor het moeilijk is de app te gebruiken. Ook crasht de app vaak.

App werkt onhandig en soms zelfs slecht. Niet gebruiksvriendelijk, geen notificatie als je een bericht hebt en je profiel aanpassen is ook moeizaam doordat het venster niet goed wordt weergegeven.
Jammer!

The app constantly crashes and is not tailored to making pet sitting bookings at all. Was looking forward to using it, but it’s terrible

Hele fijne service, maar de app start erg traag op. Vervolgens werkt de filtering niet bij selecteren oppas. Een andere irritante functie is als een oppas annuleert dat je aanvraag zonder dat je dat kiest op het “job board” wordt geplaatst waarna iedere willekeurige oppas kan reageren. Chatten is ook super traag.

Ik heb een account aan gemaakt waarvoor ik al mijn gegevens heb moeten geven, vervolgens hebben ze mij afgewezen. Ik ben een ervaren oppasser en ik ben 15+, vervolgens sturen ze mij een mail waarin ze zeggen dat ik niet 15 ben en geen ervaring heb? Slechte app niet downloaden!

The buttons don’t work and I don’t want to fill in the number of the parents I am babysitting for, so I don’t know how to log in then :)

Had an account that wasn’t used - app was deleted. Realised that there was a monthly payment for 2 years without any communications from CC. Unpleasant experience, not recommended.

Not optimized for iPhone sizes, several bugs like close buttons out of touch screen area, no peristence so a lot of times you have to start over again, for e.g if you select multiple sitters and then want to see details of one

I love their business model and the level of service, really good and supportive. But the app? How can it be that a company of this capability, size and position in the market cannot even adapt its app to a modern API, UX design and compatibility with Apple Ecosystem? Menu bars are all over the place, non responsive buttons, frequent crashes and overall low quality design.

Ik kan niet verder gaan als ik geen referentie heb ingevuld maar ik heb nog nooit eerder buiten mijn gezin opgepast?

Ik ben 13 maar kan niet inloggen als oppasser?!
En ik heb mijn goede telefoonnummer gegeven en zegd dat hij niet word herkend! Ja logisch ik ben namelijk nieuw?!

This app hasn’t been working in years now…. The screen of the app gets bigger then my iPhone screen, so I can’t tap certain things. And every now and then the bar on the bottem changes to the bar that parents see instead of sitters? I can select “favorites” aka sitters I’d like to book. But I ám a sitter… fix this please. I have been a loyal Charly’s Angel for 7 years now. But otherwhise I’ll find another company :(

The parents want to underpay you and the app encourages you to lower your rate to get jobs instead of understanding that workers deserve to be well compensated. The addition of pet sitting onto the jobsboard has made the user experience worse. Avoid and choose another platform to work from.
