Perfect toy but not really an instrument
MeerRead the nice reviews for the pro’s. My cons:
- No Round Robins (same sample every strike)
- No layers: 1 pad 1 sound 1 velocity (volume is not velocity)
- No pad polutation: you have to load each and every pad separately. Very time consuming to audition kits. And it is is possible is not intuitive at all.
- Time signatures: 4/4 and that’s it? Really?
I have other software by UVI (Falcon, Drum replacer) and they make good software, but this is half baked... or much less.2door Jav*******28/03/2021Epic

MeerI investigated pairing this with an OP-Z, thinking, surely, if I add a software sequencer to the mix, I have more memory for patterns, since the OP-Z is built around very low spec hardware.
BeatHawk is very user friendly and the sample libraries one can buy in BeatHawk are excellent. But how disappointing to discover that BeatHawk does not have multiple pages of patterns, but juist 1 page, 16 patterns, exactly as many as the OP-Z already has. That makes it suitable for short songs only.
Also, some minor troubles with recording to BeatHawk. It has a hardwired count in of 1 beat and if the OP-Z sends the first notes slightly too early they are not quantized to the start of beat 1 but they are gone. So expect to do hand editing of the first notes.2door Jan*******01/10/2019
