True Backgammon

De game speelt vals met dobbelstenen, structureel gooit als de computer speelt precies wat nodig is om te winnen. Andersom wordt nooit goed gegooid wat nodig is.

Since the latest update the cheating (which was already bad) seems even worse. And I’m not even playing at the difficult levels. The game is filled with statistical improbabilities. I’m not the only one mentioning this.
I have a long-running “infinite” game against the AI and I can’t even resign normally anymore without having to forfeit 2 or 3 points to the AI. What’s the point of these changes? They just ruin the fun even further.
All we want is to play a fair game. No stacked dice and no AI looking ahead at future dice. It doesn’t matter if the AI seems “too easy”. Fairness is most important. No fairness, no fun.

Some time ago I gave the app only 2 or 3 stars, but since then my opinion dramatically changed because of frequent use of the tutor of the app and as a result thereoff the improvement of my playing skills. The feeling of cheating dices has to do with minor playing skills. Reading about the theory of the randomness of digital dices I am sure the app does not cheat.

Trustworthy random dice rolls, an excellent AI player and all of the options that one needs to adjust the game to your preferences.

Hoewel de ontwikkelaar met argumenten komt dat het spel niet manipuleert raad ik hem aan het spel op dit niveau vaker te spelen dan ervaart hij zelf het tegendeel.

I do believe the developer when he says he intends to make the dice throws as random as possible and I appreciate the transparency he tries to bring by making the dice throws from the random generator visible throughout the game, but nevertheless there’s an obvious bias in the throws. I’ve used Bgblitz on the PC for years and I know the IA is amazing and it’s just equally amazing here, but I never experienced such obvious bias in the dice throws on the pc.
I used another random dice throw generator app for a while and put the throws in manually for a while to keep this game enjoyable , but I might as well take out my old pc and play bgblitz on there then, cause the tablet doesn’t give me any more convenience that way...
At the moment I randomly create new dice during a game now and that helps a lot in keeping it fair, but it shame I need to go through the extra trouble to enjoy this otherwise great backgammon app, which is one of the few that uses the amazing Bgblitz engine.
I really hope you change the way the dice works in future versions, so I can fully enjoy this app.

This is a very nice looking, strong playing Backgammon app. The built-in tutor actually teaches you the game, providing somewhat intimidating statistics for alternative moves. I would like it to be able to play Backgammon variants like Acey Deucey (US and European rules), though, and I was a bit disappointed to find that my in-app purchases didn’t work in family members’ iOS devices.

although maker says that it is not true, we strongly have the feeling that the computer is throwing the dices in its own advantage. Not only that, the thrown opening dices look very familiar, for both the "robot" and the human opponent.

Computer seems to always through the right dice. Game looks nice though and human against human possibility is alright.

Heel mooie versie van Backgammon, is het mogelijk om ook de Trictrak regels te implementeren. Zou geweldig zijn.

playing against the computer is really anoying...it always trows the right dice in critical situations......not fair at all!
