Let me start off by saying that I was once a kid with not much money. I loved (and still love!) drawing, creating things with friends, et cetera. This app was perfect for this- no functions behind paywalls, a social media of sorts, and an easy way to mix colors. Sadly, it was a bit limited in brush options, but that wasn’t on young me’s mind.
Then, it started getting worse. The social part was shut down, the scissors tool (select + move/copy) was moved behind a paywall, there were brush options- behind said paywall, everything started having to be paid for when it used to be free. This was alright, I could deal, I thought.
Now, after moving to a different app I will not name, I sorely miss the freedom of customizing a brush, nearly unlimited color swatches, *layers* (I cannot stress this enough), a functional select tool that can not only move, but also transform, more brushes, et cetera!
For a first drawing app, it’s alright. But there’s so much better on the market, even for free.
TL;DR:
+ Intuitive, easy color mixing & simple to draw diagrams.
+ Templates for web design.
- Why is everything behind a paywall?
- Doesn’t have layers
- Instead of always going over what you’ve drawn, works on a color/brush hierarchy that’s hard to understand at first (dark colors cover up lighter ones, except for really pale ones, and different brushes don’t have the same rules about this)
