NYT Games: Wordle & Crossword

It now no longer works on older phones. The pop-up window forces you to update, even though the update only works on later versions of iOS.

After the mini lost its free version, very hesitant to update. But now every time you open the app or go back to it after checking other apps is urges to update. Unnecessary and extremely bad UX. I don’t trust it’s just ‘bug fixes’ in this case.

Ik vind de meeste games erg leuk! Aangezien er heel diverse games aangeboden worden is er voor ieder iets wils. Sinds de laatste update echter kan ik Pips alleen in 'portretstand' ↕️ spelen. Ik speel op mijn iPad het liefst in 'landschapstand' ↔️ ik hoop dat dit aangepast wordt zodat ik weer zelf kan kiezen.

This is the app which I play Wordl with, first thing in the morning! Love it.
Since a couple of days the cookie wall is automatically closing. I.e. you can’t make a choice. Please fix this.

Mini was the main reason I used the app with the ads and was on the verge of getting a subscription. NY Times’ move to make mini as a paid feature was a bad one. Even if I pay, most of my friends won’t. I used to compete with them daily for times. Now nobody is competing, some have uninstalled and everyone is unhappy. You can get a few people to pay but Mini but its core relies on the social aspect of it and if friends don’t play I won’t pay.

The constant pop ups basically forcing me to subscribe, my account getting logged out of everyday and every game ending up behind a paywall.. this app has lost all it was good for!

It really sucks that the mininis now paywalled. It’s just an easy little crossword. And i would pay for the puzzles, but you know,it’s the NYT.

Was good for what is was. But the mini is now also behind paywall. Not gonna pay for a few puzzles per day. I was fine with the very few ads. So, Bye

After the last update the “Send” button does not work anymore…… please fix it

Would’ve been rated 5 stars, if it weren’t for the settler bias favoring a certain self-proclaimed ‘state’..

Not here to rate the puzzles, those are fine. It’s just that the app is clunky. Dark mode only applies to certain puzzles, there’s popping in and out of the cookie banner, and the top navigation bar is inconsistent. The design is fine, but it doesn’t feel like a native app (because it probably isn’t).

The quality of the puzzles are great. The app is well designed. I especially like the screen share feature. Amazing!

I lovee this app it become a part of my daily routine but plsss make the spelling bee archive I need more than 1 a day

The app is near perfect and nice to use. But please enable dark mode for all games and throughout the app interface.

For 5 stars should have the spelling bee and wordle bots built into the app. Shouldn’t have to jump back and forth on the website. Otherwise a great app.

This is a good app, but it’s weird that there’s no WordleBot or the other NYT games except Spelling Bee.

My day isn’t complete until I finish a crossword, and no one does them better than NYT.

Did someone test this update before uploading it to the App Store? All I get is a blank screen with the Crossword logo. Doesn't do anything else
