IDW Digital Comics Experience

I used to buy a lot of digital comics from IDW, especially when they had the Hasbro license for Transformers. In today’s app you find these comics under “my books”. An endless unstructured line of my favorite bought comics. And no way to search through them if you are looking for a specific series like “spotlight” of “all hail megatron”. You have to continuous scroll through your library to find what you seek. And this would not be a problem if the app doesn’t suddenly stop and you can start all over again for your search. This makes it very frustrating. The app also seems to suddenly stop when you are reading a comic, luckily when you reopen the comic it does open where you were. Another feature that is very annoying is the constant attempts to switch between vertical and horizontal scrolling when you move to the next page.

Please remove old reviews, I saw some from 10 or 9 years old.

This is a great app for all comic fans as it offers a large amount of diverse comics from IDW publishing without much regional limitations (I'm from the Netherlands). The search option does not find all available comics however! The best way to look for comics, like Transformers, is to look up one of the artists and click on his (or her) name. You will then get a list of all comics by that person and these lists contain much more comics then the search engine finds. The price of comics, especially completer series, is verf reasonable.

Dit is een geweldige app voor comic fans, het biedt een grote collectie verschillende comics van uitgever IDW zonder al te veel regionale beperkingen (ik woon in Nederland). De zoekfunctie vindt echter lang niet alle beschikbare comics! De beste manier om meer comics te vinden, zoals Transformers, is door een van de schrijvers of tekenaars op te zoeken en op zijn (of haar) naam te klikken. Je krijgt dan een lijst te zien met alle beschikbarevcomics van die artiest, een lijst die veel meer comics bevat dan de zoekfunctie vindt. Al deze comics kan je ook aanschaffen en de prijs is, zeker voor complete series, erg schappelijk.

No pictures when I browse and search doesn't seem to work... They do have the best comics though...

Only too bad it does not have the transformers comics. I actually downloaded the app for those. Please make them available in holland

nice app one of my favourite, too bad i cant choose the GI JOE nor TRANSFORMERS comics because i live in Holland.. please please please let us have them too you have big fanbase in the netherlands too!
