This app, while simple, used to be pretty great. But the past few months the spam issues have been getting out of hand, and it doesn’t look like they are getting fixed. Also, I got a paid subscription for a month, blocked a bunch of of profiles, and they were all unblocked after my subscription ended (other apps like Grindr and Scruff don’t do that).

Too much fake on this app!. But lately too many scammers are on here. Guys pretending to be someone else and asking for money. When they asked if you have “hangout” app, block him! This app needs a profile verification. More secure system for identification.

Everytime when logi there is always spam from stupid accounts that sends inappropiate links or fake private media opens like click baits. Comparing to other apps, I never had this fake things.

This app is a haven for fake profiles. And when you click on a thumbnail, the actual picture is cropped.

This app got a lot of spam: commercial adds coming true you as a message.
When I logon I got 4-6 of these in a minute:(

Het is jammer dat de afstanden niet kloppen. Bijv. Ik zit in Spijkenisse ZH. Volgens growlr is Amsterdam 200 mtr bij me vandaan. En kees uit Spijkenisse 66 km.

Don’t live stream if you don’t wanna be banned for 2 days or 4 or a whole week for drinking tea on live stream, it will be marked as nude or high sexual content while you are just have a normal and talk and being dressed as policy asks and states, this is not the first time this happend false bans, also others are complaining about it. How rude growlr is with banning people even contact support is terrible i wont advice this app for people that wanna live stream to meet other bears also don’t take a subscription it will cost you more then it delivers.. bad case Growlr

Every now and than this app will ask you to log in again for no reason. It seems to accept any password you enter and let you in.

I used to like this app because it was different than most dating apps and felt accepted by others guys.

Echt veel te veel reclame en spam.
Daarnaast komen berichten niet binnen. Je ziet wel dat er een bericht binnen komt, maar als je hem opent staat er niets

It’s always been a nice app and very much better than grindr, but lately a scam/commercial message will always appear at loggin in after not having logged on for a while. They really need to find a way to fix that because it is very annoying and it feels like reporting the profiles does not help.

Met slechts 11 zichtbare regionale profielen in de gratis versie moeten de makers zich toch eerst maar eens afvragen of dat nu werkelijk iemand overhaalt om een abonnement te nemen. Wat het wel doet is dat ik nog minder of misschien helemaal geen gebruik meer maak van deze app. Want in de gratis versie betaal ik ook al met advertenties die mij worden voorgeschoteld en ongetwijfeld de daaraan gekoppelde data.
De balans tussen optimale gebruikerservaring en streven naar winstmaximalisatie voor de uitgever van deze app lijkt totaal scheef te liggen. Kwaliteit en gebruikerservaringen zijn belangrijke argumenten ergens voor te willen betalen. En een betaald abonnement verandert in deze app dat nu niet ten positieve, want het blijft oude wijn in nieuwe zakken. Meer van hetzelfde is namelijk niet automatisch beter.
Als dit niet snel wordt aangepast zijn ze mij voorgoed kwijt en daarmee ook de kans dat ik ooit nog weer een abonnement neem.

Drops messages randomly, sometimes without an error message. Some messages end up in a jumbled order in a thread. In the last few weeks I’ve been getting multiple messages from bot accounts every day.

Now I’m nearly getting daily messages from scammers/bot accounts that want me to visit a link. You guys should fix this easy-to-solve problem by implementing an authenticity log-in, fingerprint scan, sms-control etc.

Really? The other feature lock outs are - I guess - ok.. but subjecting us to full screen time locked ads kills this app. Especially with so many other options. Goodbye Growlr. Will never use you again
