The FING SOFTWARE works quite well. I’m using it on one of my Macs, which is being used as a central piece of hardware to monitor and control my entire network (Mac, Windows and Linux).
The FING HARDWARE (the box), however, is a troublemaker of stellar proportions and I strongly suggest NOT to add it to your network infrastructure. You’ll be asking for trouble.
You don’t need that extra layer; the FING software works fine without it and most modern routers/meshes provide similar functionality, like new device monitoring and auto-blocking.
Steer away from the Fing Box if you take your network infrastructure seriously.
