Everand: Audiobooks & Ebooks

Ik ben een lezer die niet elke dag de tijd heeft om te lezen. Als je dan met een serie bezig bent en in de auto verder kan luisteren is dat geweldig. Behalve als het toevallig een populair boek is want dan mag je maar een deel luisteren totdat ze de rest uit de lijst halen omdat ze niet willen dat je alleen daar naar luistert. Je kan beter een andere app pakken want zelfs als je een maand niet luistert hanteren ze deze onzin. En de klantenservice beantwoord ook alleen maar de helft van je vragen zonder met oplossingen te komen. Ik ben overgestapt naar een app die dit niet doet en dat is veel fijner voor de leeservaring!

i wanted to make use of the 30 free days before subscription because i wasn’t sure if i was going to like it, but they instantly took the money from my account. i immediately cancelled the subscription because i thought i did something wrong, and it stated that i could still use the app for one month, but im unable to listen to a single book and my money is still gone. i’ve basically paid for nothing.

If I go to my saved books and click “hide finished” the app freezes. This has been going on for quite some time, through multiple updates.
Update 4 months on: this is still an issue (in iOS). Also the “search” function is so slow I usually give up before I get any results.

I’ve been a loyal Everand user for years now, but the new model destroys of the very thing that made me choose this app in the first place: unlimited audiobooks for a flat monthly fee. Even though a few titles would become unavailable if you listened a lot in one month, there was still plenty available for that not to bother me. Now you need to pay more to get less. It’s no longer the library-esque app I chose. It’s now just like any other audiobook app where you are incredibly limited in the number of books you can listen to. It’s enough to make me cancel my subscription.

This is a nice app except for few key things-sync between phone and watch should be continuous. Some titles are missing and perhaps they can be made available across countries. The top charts seem like an advertising board for Everand publications

I’m really happy and impressed with the progress I’ve seen with Everand over the last 12 months. Huge wide selection of titles which I love.

I like the app which I use mainly for audio books. I always appreciated that I was able to dip in and out of books as I pleased. However it seems recently the subscription model changed (I didn't get a notification) and now certain titles are limited. I wouldn't have an issue for example upgrading back to an unlimited model but I am not happy with the lack of transparency. When have I hit my ceiling? How many books can I listen to etc. I feel it's poor business practice hence I will cancel and move to a more transparent service that helps me manage what I can listen to better.

I HATE HATE HATE this app, the content is great but it often has problems. No its NOT my connection, I’ve tested it- this app has buffering issues with audio. FIX IT PEOPLE PAY FOR IT!

I used this app for years, but suddenly books are blocked. So what I really want to read is not available

I don’t understand why there is a sliding thing in the middle of the upper part of the app, it blocks reading and is useless, if annoying. Is it an unfinished feature or what? Can you remove it please?

Today I have subscribed to your app and wanted to start listening to an audiobook, but when I click on any book I get the option to listen for 30 days for free or read a preview.
Why can’t I use your app after I have subscribed and paid?
Can you please assist me in this matter?

I enjoy using the app, but I've noticed some issues. Occasionally, pages go missing while I'm reading, which disrupts the experience. Additionally, some books that were available initially seem to disappear after a while, which is quite disappointing. Beside this it’s a good deal for a few euros you can read lots of books, that’s awesome.

When I open and the filter my saved books by format, the app freezes. Please fix!

The book selection is good. Lots of options if you are a casual reader / listener. But, if you are hoping to binge a favorite book series, good luck. The books will disappear about halfway through because you have listened to or read too many books from the same author / publisher. There might be a notice that the books will be available in about 3 weeks, but after the time has elapsed they still might not be available or cannot be found.
The overall user experience is poor. Books disappear randomly. The app locks up intermittently, especially if you have a poor connection. I often have to quit the app and restart. It often forgets the book I was reading.
If you are able to get past the bad user experience, you will most likely find something enjoyable to read / listen to even if it isn’t your first, second or third choice.

I switched from Audible because I thought you can listen to unlimited books with the monthly subscription. Turned out that they lock randomly some books which is really annoying. When can audiobooks have unlimited access like Netflix or Spotify nowadays do? I’m honestly willing to pay a bit more if it’s truly unlimited. Also, the app is definitely not as good as Audible. The buffering sometimes is very slow.

Hey Everand, your app is lagging when opening and loading books; much worse though is your book selection.
So many books are available only as audiobooks- if I wanted to listen to books I’d get Audible. Even more books and authors are not available at all or blocked until the next cycle- with only non-relevant books actually available. I was a happy scribd customer for years but nowadays your content gets worse and worse with every update.
By now, half the recommended books I get are completely irrelevant and new releases that I look for are not available. Meanwhile you keep offering audiobooks without ever cottoning on to my utter lack of any and all audiobook consumption- take a hint, aka improve your algorithm.

I had a membership for years with Scribd. Read a lot but last year less and less. So i cancelled the membership thinking i could still access the Books i saved. NOT! Now I want to renewal so i can access the Books I saved and now I need to pay much more for the membership. Not amused!
