Email - Edison Mail

The app looks nice, but you can only have one email address per account. That makes it useless for me.

Another update means more problems. Isn’t an update supposed to solve bugs instead of introducing them? Deleted from my phone. Nice layout but too much frustration due to slow or not showing emails

The best email app for iOS that I’ve tried so far (and I have tried a lot of such apps). Even the free version gives you a lot of useful options. The Edison support team was very helpful and solved a problem that I experienced.

You should read their privacy policy. They are reading all your emails. Every night some AWS server will connect to your mail account.

Used to work fine but notification no longer work. Many emails to Support but no solution.
No more push, no more sounds.
Emails are coming in but without any notification.
Tried changing all settings in-app and iOS.
Moving to Spark I'm afraid.

Het verzenden en beantwoorden lukt plots niet meer. Hij geeft eerst dat niet verzonden is en na retry wel verzonden. Maar er wordt niets ontvangen. HELP!

This app hardly delivers results using keywords in messages. Rather essential for an email app.

Please transfer to 24h format. Only Anglo-Saksen countries use it, rest of the world does not (same as imperial vs metric)….

I have to open mails 2 or 3 times to be able to read them, the first time I open a mail it disappears and most times also the second time.
For the time being I am using Spark.

Nice but not possible to change the language in Netherlands (dutch not Deutsch)

Prima e-mail. Alleen helaas niet in het Nederlands. En is er een mogelijkheid de tijden aan te passen? In plaats van 05:30 graag 17:30 als voorbeeld.

Na instellen Safari als default browser en cookies enabled installeert de app eindelijk.
Waarom de cookies persé ingeschakeld moeten zijn is mij een raadsel. Hiermee word je gedwongen een deel privacy op te geven.

I had installed this reading the positive reviews, but this didn’t live up to my expectations. I use my outlook.com email as primary driver and have it in multiple devices. This app considers ‘Focused’ inbox in its own logic and don’t use the actual ‘Focused Inbox’ from outlook.com. Hence, I was finding the email selection in this very different from other devices. This shall even impact your notifications (like in iPad some email will notify you if you are using a different client while Edison will notify you differently in iPhone)! But adding salt to the injury, there are 2 points. Firstly, Edison’s focused inbox selection algorithm is not appreciable and much inferior than the native one from outlook.com (that’s why I cannot switch all my devices to this email client as it’s not worthwhile). Secondly, the notification of Edison is crap (and the support team agreed this as a known bug) - where even if you switch on the notifications for focused inbox you will get a notification for emails which have been put in ‘others’ category (code bug where the notification gets triggered not after the categorisation but as soon as the email has been captured by the client before categorisation algorithm has ran)!
Long story short, if you are not a very casual user glancing through your ‘not much used’ mail box, this app is not worth using. I have faced this for outlook.com and the support team has told me some excuses, but the pain will remain while you use other emails as well.
