Duet Display

The expectations were high, but somehow disappointed. Even on 400 mbit+ wifi the lag is annoyingly visible, even on lower quality screen. The keyboard doesn’t pop up 50% of the time. There’s barely any settings you can choose yourself, only some pre-made gestures. This is nice if you only need one screen to draw something, nothing more.

It can’t be used without paying. You either have to pay monthly or one time but the cheapest is more than 150 dollars. It seems like a good software and ChatGPT said you could do onetime of 25dollars but that’s outdated, and now it’s extremely expensive.

You know it doesn't work when they make you pay before seeing if it works. Never mind this app. Bye bye.

Smelling towards scamming people it’s the same as the majority of the so called ‘free apps’
You’re forced to setup an account, then forced to choose a plan and then you get a 7 day trial, but you’ll only discover that after downloading and opening an account that from now on probably will get daily mails about this, Apple really should tighten their game about these ‘free apps’ and I do hope this goes out of business really fast.

Connected with Apple certified cable, but the image was horrible. Now I use Apple’s own Continuity. Works great! I really don’t understand why I have to pay so much for such a bad product. Support isn’t helpfull at all, skip this.

Only useable after monthly payments, and this only gets clear in the very last step. Sneaky! Took some time to fully deinstall on my pc.

I’ve had several issues since I started using duet almost a year ago. I am using original apple cable, and it just suddenly stops recognizing my laptop. I have tried reinstalling both apps on iPad and laptop and still nothing. Tech support isn’t very helpful either.

It’s impossible to connect the iPad to the computer with usb.
They are different and won’t fit.
The maker of this app should know this.
So paying for it is just money in his pocket for a app that’s unusable.
I am going to report this user.

The cabled version works well. Unfortunately the extra functionality you get for paying for a year is very unstable. The connection over wifi drops out all the time and then times out in trying to reconnect. The same goes for Remote Desktop.
The free old version of AnyDesk works better.

Did everything according to the manual, linstalled the apps on my win11 laptop and iPad (202w model) logged in on both devices with my new Duet account (why does every app-developer want me to hav an account?), AMDS is up and running, but the laptop and iPad don’t see each other…

It’s a good app but there are much cheaper alternatives. 1 week tryal and then anual subscription. Sry, thats a no for me.

like the titles says. it states a free trial is available but installing on iPad keeps nagging that duet air is needed. Do not recommend this app

I bought the app before all this idiotic nonsense about paying astronomical prices for just using your iPad as second display. I’m sure they have reasons to justify this, but just take a look at your app rating before and after this so called improvement.

Using this for quite some years now. Works great as extra monitor on my Windows laptop.

Werkt goed en handig als tweede scherm naast m’n Windows laptop. Zowel m’n iPad als m’n laptop zijn niet meer de jongste maar Duet klaagt niet en werkt prima.
Voor oudere hardware is het kennelijk nodig om hardware accelleration uit te zetten. De helpdesk heeft snel en vriendelijk met dit issue geholpen.

As a field technician i like to work with two screens.
We also have an iPad netxt to our laptop. So Duet Display is a great addition to work with two screens without buying a portable screen.
2 years ago i have bought the app (Duet legacy) and after an update it was't working as i used to know.
Thanks to the great support and a two updates later everything is working again.

Using original cable to connect my iPad Air to PC. After months, it suddenly stopped working and even though my iPad prompts me to trust the device as usual, after that nothing happens on duet. I’ve tried reinstalling duet both on PC and iPad and it still doesn’t work.

I have been using Duet for many years, for connection between iPad and PC. I have paid for the base app Duet Display, it stated to be a one-time purchase for personal use. Tip for other legacy users:
With recent versions make shure to login, else it will drop the connection every 10 minutes.
