Abi: A Robot's Tale

I love this Machinarium-like post-apocalyptic game, but it’s too short and doesn’t have a satisfying ending yet. I'll keep an eye out for extra chapters to be added. Can't wait!

Positives:
* artwork/animation and atmosphere
* music
* subtle humor
Negatives:
* short
* time based actions and possible to die/redo steps. This undo's the soothing adventure. I personally do not like that.
* unclear background story/motivation/ending
* difficult to follow the sentences: subtitles in speech balloons but also dialogues at the very top of the screen. Without the balloons it is unclear who is speaking (robot "voices" are scarce). You can not pause between lines and the different font sizes and center alignment are not helping either.
I'm keeping a close eye on this developer. They promised to add extra chapters.
Curious about their future endeavours.

Not that the puzzles are to hard, but to figure out how to rate this game.
The graphics are beautiful, but I found the gameplay a little bit too boring. It's more like an interactive book (that's not finished, it just ended suddenly).
Maybe give the game more stars if it was longer, but won't play it again from start.

The puzzles are a bit too easy, but I loved the graphics, music and overall feeling of the game. The game is currently (end of Dec 17) clearly not finished yet - there are 5 chapters so far (which can be played in 1-2 hours) but the main mystery why all humans have disappeared is not solved yet. My 6 year old don found the game interesting but also very dark (especially chapter 5).

Although the game is fun while it lasts, it is not challenging. I completed it within one hour. €3-4 is in my opinion too much for just the artwork...
Edit: apparently there's chapters still to come, maybe I missed it but would be good to add a to be continued when the game's over..

Really one of the best Indie games lately.
But sorry, way to short.. Very well made with a good story behind it but it ends before you know it. I was a little disappointed about that.. but the rest.....well done!
