Qustodio Parental Control App

Ik gebruik de app vooral voor instellingen van schermtijden. Ik vind het heel jammer dat ik niet op halve uren kan instellen.

…auch wenn man weiter aufmerksam sein und im Gespräch mit den Kindern bleiben muss.. Aber mit ihnen zusammen ist es eine gute Hilfe

It used to be ok..ish now it is a total and utter waste of money. It does not block anything. Blocked full week and my child can still do whatever he likes as long as he likes it.
€99 for this piece of junk should result in an automatic ban from the App Store. Pathetic

Completely useless on iOS as most of advertised features do not work on iPhone even with most expensive subscription. Nothing but a glorified screen time app.

Ondanks blokkeren van de play store kan kind apps downloaden. Activiteit kind is niet te zien in ouder app. Help links geven allemaal “oeps pagina niet gevonden”.

When the profile is installed on the child’s device, the screen time passcode is disabled so the child is free to disable app limitations. This is because one is expected to use Qustodio to manage app limits instead. But doing so requires a paid plan.
In other words, Qustodio’s free plan is okay for web filtering but gives away all control over app limits. So basically you need to use Qustodio paid plan OR screen time.
This could have been made more transparent when setting up the app. Would have saved me a lot of time and conflicts. For this reason I will not be subscribing.

De installatie van de app gaat heel eenvoudig maar het gebruik van de app is totaal niet gebruiksvriendelijk en intuïtief. En hij kan niet alle apps monitoren en blokken zoals brawlstars en Fortnite.

De app is heel makkelijk te verwijderen door kinderen (2 kliks) waardoor zij alle beperkingen teniet doen (tijdslimiet, blokkade van bepaalde apps en sites).
Het opnieuw installeren neemt wel veel tijd in beslag!
Instellingen zijn ingewikkeld en het is niet mogelijk om onbeperkt toegang te geven tot bepaalde apps (bv whatsapp of navigatie). Vaak geeft de app aan dat de tijd verbruikt is en alles geblokkeerd is maar zijn de betreffende apparaten helemaal niet geblokkeerd.
Het abonnement is veel te duur voor deze beperkingen.
Geen aanrader.

App doesn’t work anymore in iOS 18. Can’t see what my kids views or installs on his phone. Can’t change his screentime. And I miss the option to install a app on my kids device where he can see how long his screentime is. Now he can’t see it and the phone just locks suddenly. No warning what so ever

Blocking and filtering is very good but
- no options for apps which are always allowed
- user interface is really bad (please take a look at Family link which is way more user friendly)

When I turn on study time my child’s computer closes ALL browsers, as soon as you open them. Sometimes app says kid is out of time while they have not used it at all and even turning off the monitoring and DELETING the computer from app won’t fix problem. Customer service sends ONE email per day when you ask for help for a new or still unresolved issue, basically saying mistake is not possible and to re-install, which does not help either. No chat function no way to call them. There is better customer service at the DMV… Don’t waste your time or money. One star as you cannot give NO stars

The app works, sites are filtered good, sometimes to good. You have to make a lot of manual exceptions.
For the version where you have to pay for could the filtering a lot better. If you’re child is on AliExpress, Temu, EBay etc he/she can still search for porn and erotic stuff what you as a parent would not to be seen. Blocking such sites is possible, but they can’t look into it at all
That is something to think about when you purchase this app. And it not cheap at all! So this filtering should be implemented in this app.
I give it for now 2 stars, it works fine but there is a lot to do for Qustodio to get 5 stars.

App used to work fine but lately it doesn’t allow any internet access. If you increase time you need to restart other device then you might get the extension

De meest onschuldige dingen op YouTube zijn wel geblokkeerd, opmerkingen en reacties op YouTube zijn ook afgeschermd terwijl ik daar niks heb geblokkeerd.
Gewoon een waardeloze app, zonde van de tijd die ik heb verbruikt om de app in te stellen

Omdat de app slecht werkte wilden we het abonnement annuleren. In de AppStore hebben we dat gedaan, maar het abonnement bleef geïncasseerd worden via Paypal. Apple wijst naar Qustodio en Qustodio reageert helemaal nergens op. En Paypal wijst ook weer naar Qustodio omdat zolang zij niet reageren Paypal ook niks kan doen.
Dus wees gewaarschuwd!

Helaas nu de betaalde versie, waar hij eerst perfect werkte doet het nu steeds minder. Heb de betaalde versie, maar zie geen locatie meer en mijn zoon is de hele tijd off line, nou ik dacht t niet … jammer betaal er toch een kleine €50, - voor per jaar

Nice app. However not fully functional with iOS. So after buying it. Becomes clear I have no full use. Sad.
