NYT Cooking: Quick Tasty Meals

Leuke app! Kost ca. anderhalf kookboek per jaar, maar dan heb je verder geen andere kookboeken meer nodig (nou ja, nauwelijks).

App needs iOS update 17.0 or more. So I cannot use the app on my iPad.
very annoying, very very annoying!

I just payed for a full subscription to discover that it is not possible to change the units to the metric system…

Have used the app for years now, by far the best cooking app by a long mile. The only issue I had was that I had to use a different app to convert measurements into metric but now the app offers this!

Easy to use, huge variety of types of recipes, all skill levels and plenty of tips and hacks :-)!

Love the app already, but I’d love it much more if I could filter out all the meat on the top level.

There is just a pay wall nothing more, there is not even a trial period so I can check what I would buy.

I love this app, so so much. But, being European, I yearn for metric conversion of ingredients. I find it so odd to measure out non-liquid ingredients in cups or fluid ounces, it makes no sense.

This app is simply so very pleasing to navigate. It’s easy on the eyes and the mind. But torture to the stomach, especially if hungry! The designers did a fantastic job delivering a stellar user experience in this regard. I look forward to my little annoyance being thrown out the window when they soon push an update making it possible for users to set default unit preferences so recipes can convert to it where possible, making it completely stress-free for me to “grab-and-cook!”

I paid for the app for 1 year. I had no problems and I was able to save lot’s of recipes. The subscription came up for renewal (monthly) and renewed via apple and my recipes are gone. I can no longer even save recipes. When I try to search recipes or save them I get 401 error. I’m not a fan anymore!

Longtime subscriber, love the NYT cooking app. Great recipes. Worth 6 stars. Except, since updating iOS and iPadOS to v16.4, the app crashes on both platforms after about one minute. Same problem with The NY Times app. My subscriptions are pretty much useless until this gets fixed.
Edit: removing and reinstalling solved it. Back to 5 stars.

Only add metric measurements for the rest of the world, then perfection is in reach

The recipes one can find on this app are absolutely amazing. The only thing that is really annoying, is the fact that the search function is basically not working at all. That’s a shame. I usually just come across recipes I want to cook, it’s hard to find a specific one.

Along with the new update today, none of my feed will load, with the error “http 500”. Normally love the app but bummed I can’t look at anything except presaved recipes

I love the app but it’s a bother to have to convert all measures to metric if i ever want to prepare any of the recipes. Im from Europe. I

Overall app is good. Please add metric units of measurement and nutritional information for every meal

The recipes are good but for what you pay I would’ve hoped to also get access to the food writing featured in the NYT and this does not seem to be the case. Like today there is a recipe and article on NYT about stuffed cabbage and I can’t access the recipe or the article. Also the usability is subpar, it keeps logging me out and I can’t find what I need very often. Won’t renew when the time comes.
