FileBrowser Professional

For me this is the best file browser on iPhone and iPad and worthy to pay the small fee for it.

After all the great reviews and needing to sync an Obsidian installation I was dissapointed and -after an hour- gave up. Yeah, I work in IT and I am experienced with syncing files. However, could not get this to work. Sync only seems to work on a very specific folder and creating a manual job is either incomprehensible or anything more complex than a straight copy/move is a no-no. I ran into limitations with iOS and for example could not delete files on the target that are no longer present on the source. It was all or nothing.

This app is so much better that the native files app. It’s really great. With just a few extra features it would also be able to replace my audiobook player. A sleeptimer and a bookmark ability for audiobooks and mp3 collections is all I need! And if audio / video progress would be synced between devices I would be so happy

Helaas werkt WebDAV al langere tijd niet goed met QNAP: foutmelding bij laden directory, foutmelding bij openen bestand, en niet alle thumbnails worden gegenereerd. Andere apps werken prima met WebDAV op QNAP.

This program is a must have: backing up files, copying files from different sources, viewing of listening to files: everything can be done. Love it. Can’t do without.

Look no further than this app to manage your cloud files. Desktop quality app with every feature you could wish for. Super reliable. A true workhorse.

Everything I want regarding file handling in the cloud. Flexibility, speed, features, it’s all there!

This is a very good tool, a much needed replacement of the iOS files tool.
One request though: I use fb for file renaming and would prefer to have the option to save rename options so I do not have to define them again and again

Great app, all features needed. HOWEVER, file transfer speed is problematic, especially via wifi. Even with smb3 it’s a snail. Similar apps are dozens of times (no exaggeration) faster with transfers from the same source. That’s weird. When using wired ethernet via a usb-c converter things are much faster, which is weird too. And no, no problems with wifi etc, as said: other apps perform well.

It is the best app out there for accessing files on the network and with so many features!

It’s a great app, the only thing I miss is (are) progress indicator(s). These would come in especially handy when large files or large amounts of files are copied to for example a NAS. Now I never know how far a started copy-action for example has progressed. Also cancelling is impossible. Sometimes, with a lot of small files being transferred, FileBrowser crashes. The copying is still going on then. Restarting FileBrowser doesn’t indicate that at all, only the traffic from iPad (or iPhone) to NAS show that something big is going on. In short: more information and control about transfers (also background ones) would come in very handy!

Heb hier al jaren zo’n plezier van. En hij wordt steeds beter. Alleen dat nieuwe navigatie lint boven de app kan mijn nog niet bekoren, verder top app.

I had the blue version for years and now the red one to access sftp and auto backup but connection to my Macs fail with a constant credentials pop up. Workarounds didn't work so far. Apple Files connects instantly. Please fix!

I have been listening to mp3 I have using this app. I like it because I don’t have to leave screen open. However with the lates version the app stops playing music after 2 minutes or so. I have set the app to run in background but that doesn’t help.

I have used the "blue" edition for years, and I love it. And now the ability to go split-screen in a "Norton Commander" style on an iPad really does it.
Yesterday I found out that I would have to use this "red" Business edition to connect to pCloud. Somehow, this "red" edition also seems much faster in accessing folders containing many files (thousands) on my QNAP NAS.
Yes, I still have a wishlist, but that is no discount to the five stars rating (for the "red" edition).

Essentieel is misschien wat overdreven, maar dit is by far de beste file manager die ik de afgelopen 10 jaar heb gebruikt.
De Biz versie heeft als grote voordeel dat je mappen of drives van je NAS offline beschibaar kunt maken op je iPad. Daarbij kun je kiezen voor alleen leesrechten of lees/schrijf. Je kunt dus een persoonlijke cloud maken zonder je netwerk open te hoeven zetten of port forwarding. Ideaal.

Dark mode lijkt nog niet helemaal volledig te werken. Wanneer ik bijvoorbeeld naar iCloud Drive ga, wordt deze geopend in Light mode terwijl de rest van het OS en app in Dark mode zijn. Geen idee of dit bewust is gedaan of dat dit een bug is.
Aanrader eerste klas. Zeer veelzijdig en robuust.

Dit is een van de beste file managers die nu verkrijgbaar is voor iOS. Ik heb er diverse geprobeerd, maar FileBrowser heeft voor mijn gevoel het laatste jaar een heel goede ontwikkeling doorgemaakt.
Wat geweldig is: je kunt rechtstreeks bestanden openen vanuit een andere app op een cloud of een netwerk lokatie. Dit kan zelfs voor directories die gesynchroniseerd worden. Op die manier kun je je eigen cloud maken op een NAS bijvoorbeeld.
Een nieuwe leuke feature is edit in place: ga naar een bestand en edit deze vervolgens.
