Why did they add ads in the app? I hate it. Also, I need to scroll recommendations better

It appears that data loading on My Books screen is blocking the main thread, or I don’t see why else loading the contents of the whole screen would block updating the progress on a currently reading book. That’s pretty annoying: sometimes I just want to update my progress and open the app for that purpose, and every time I have to wait for about 2 seconds before the Update progress button on the book card in the Currently reading carousel becomes responsive. I hope you’ll fix that!
(Sorry for 1 star review, i just know that’s the best way to get into your eyes. I’ll update ot later)

Love this app but on my phone it does not show me all my shelves just a couple. It seems to be a well known bug so please fix it?

If you consider yourself a book lover, you need this App. It helps me to:
- remember which books I liked so that I can recommend them to others
- note when people make recommendations so that I can remember which books I want to read
- discover books I wouldn’t consider based on my ratings

I love the app. Not only for reviews, but also for quickly finding books. It’s basically a book journal, but on your phone in the form of an app. The only downside is that you can’t give half stars in your review. You can see I’m not the only one bothered by this, because many people include the correct star rating in their written review. I hope the developers see this and make a change, because then it would be perfect.

Love this app to keep on track of my reading. Also I can find back a book when I want to read it again and gives suggestions for other book. I love to challenge myself to set goals or to do a challenge.

Goodreads removed the activity (notes, quotes, etc.) of all my books, which I extensively kept track of and use for future reference. Absolutely unforgivable

Hele leuke app. Maar als je een boek zoekt, dan moet je door zulke lange lijsten scrollen, om het te vinden. Je kan ook niet kiezen voor je voorkeurstaal.

I like the app but would love a function to be able to send book suggestions to friends! And not just as a message, but from the ‘book page’ there being some recommend to friend button.that would be dope!

I love the app and I use it all the time. But now I can’t look through the different editions of a book anymore. Could you please put it back in the app?
I register al my owned books with the right edition, but now I can’t do this anymore :-(

Until recently I was able to select other editions when clicking on book details, but it seems this functionality has been disabled in the app, at least when a book is already on my Want to Read list. Please turn it back on. I also run into issues with the seasonal challenges, getting white screens. Lots of glitches lately.

I would really love if you guys would make an update that you can give books .5 stars not just 1,2,3,4,5 stars but also 1.5,2.5,3.5 etc.

love the app but it's so annoying how the reading challenge never shows how many books ur in. they keep updating but never fixing that

Such a great app to keep tracks of the books you want to read and already read. I really miss a dnf option and to be able to give 0.5 and 0.25 stars⭐️. Also it would be super cool to see wrap-ups with diagrams about the genre’s you read etc. (Just like fable and StoryGraph do) so that I don’t have to use 2 apps to get the right insights.

Great new logo but for the love of books, please give us half stars for booking rating! Such a big request from the book community and you’re not doing anything with it? It would also be nice if you could give us ‘DNF’ and ‘on hold’ categories, reading books is much more than a linear activity nowadays. Please read into what the book community actually wants please, thank you.

Het is een prima app en leuk als je vrienden er ook dingen op delen.
Wel erg jammer dat je niet kan selecteren wat je wel of niet op je main feed wil zien; ik hoef niet te weten dat mijn vrienden 20 verschillende boeken in hun “to read” hebben gezet of dat ze iemand nieuw zijn gaan volgen. Zorgt voor heel veel onnodige spam.

I really like the app BUT for hardcore readers it’s important to be able to mark a book as ‘DNF’ without that removing the book from your lists and without marking it as ‘read’. The second thing we need is the option to give half or even quarter stars instead of just the 1 to 5 whole stars rating. If that is fixed, it’s perfect.
