Air Navigation Pro

Werkt, goed, navigatie goed.
Niet altijd even makkelijk om updates binnen te krijgen.

Al enige tijd ben ik een uitermate tevreden gebruiken van SkyDemon. Voor een simpele prijs krijg je een helder product, kun je alle (vector)kaarten van de wereld downloaden, AIP'S offline zetten, approach plates als lagen toevoegen en veel meer, wat VFR-vliegen extra leuk maakt.
Vóór SkyDemon gebruikte ik Air Navigation Pro. Ik vond dat een mooie app, alleen ik vond ik het simpelweg duur worden. Voor bijna alle kaarten moet apart betaald worden. Plus dat ik de app ook niet erg gebruiksvriendelijk vond.

Dont install this update/version on a iPad2, it dont start and crash. Please update!

I pay 50€ for this worthless app and then i have to buy all my maps separate. Outrageous!

After update october, lots of problems. All maps lost. Got now old maps but moving map is no more working. Logbook not working, flight recorder not working. 50 euro for a not working app is a lot of money.

Bij mij werkt app op iPhone alleen als 3G aan staat. Mis ik iets?
Verder heerlijk programma.

Good app, but is still not working properly.
Only pitch is centered after pressing the calibration button.
Bank will indicate the position of the iPad.
Very strange because a lot of apps have this simple calibration function working perfectly.
I've sent a video to this company to show bank angle is not centered, but update after update they do not succeed in solving this very simple problem.

I really like this app. It is very professional and offers lots of functionality. I use it on my Paramotor trike on the iPhone 3GS and soon on my iPad, which brings even more possibilities and overview.
Exporting your flights afterwards to Google Maps or Earth is really easy and can be done via email or wifi. Also I no longer need to manually log my flights.

Onlangs Airnav pro aangeschaft om te gebruiken op een iPad, tijdens het vliegen met een MLA vanaf EHST, vliegveld Stadskanaal.
De vluchtvoorbereiding is thuis gemakkelijk eenvoudig te doen, ook het importeren van de Nederlandse AIS vliegvelden is mogelijk.
Kortom, een geweldig navigatieprogramma voor een prima prijs.

Blijft zeer lastig een vlucht voor te bereiden en op te slaan. Ook selecteren blijft moeilijk . Invoegen of verwijderen van een leg is uiterst lastig, handleiding slecht en helaas niet opgesplitst in I-pad en I-phone. Het programma gebruikt veel stroom tijdens een tussenlanding moet direct een stroombron gezocht worden. Navigeren met dit programma is zeer goed mogelijk, je moet dan wel met een co vliegen of auto piloot. Met nog wat updates kan dit programma super worden, ik ben overwegend positief ( 19.000 vlieguur ) .

Gisteren gekocht en vandaag eerste vlucht hiermee gemaakt. Werkt ideaal. Makkelijk om de luchtruimte klasse per hoogte op de kaart in of uit te schakelen zijn. Ook de automatische recorder is erg leuk. Je kunt je vlucht nadien nog eens beleven of bekijken in Google earth. Zeker een aanrader voor de vfr piloot.

It is a great tool for flying. Even in a helicopter where free hands are an exception. It very easy to use. Keep up the good work!

I have been playing X-Plane for years. I was really missing a good AFIS application to complemneent the game and Nothing else I tried comes near by!
Not to mention the great usefulness of the app in real flight! Extremely easy and intuitive to use.
Great software - keep it this way guys!

As indicated by a previous user, the airspace names are UNREADABLE after the latest update 4.01

I prefer to keep the North Up function locked when zooming or panning the map.
Please create a manual setting to rotate or fixe the map in the menu.

It seems as if with this update the weather info (metar & taf) is no longer there? Kindly check

I really like this app! Most of the times I use for flight planning, which is quick and easy to do with this app, but I need the ability to print out a hardcopy version of my flight plan. The reason is firstly safety (your iPad / iPhone could fail in flight), and because its not certified for official use and thirdly because in many countries (JAA at least) it is compulsory to have a printed flight log aboard. Of course I could do a printscreen or handmade flightlog, but that really misses the point with a nice app like this one. The flightlog should include waypoints (with their lat/long for backup), courses, speed, wind, altitudes, distances, times, fuel burn(ed) and totals. I would be nice to have an option to email this flightlog as an PDF to be able to print it anywhere. I am aware of the GoVFR site which gives a workaround method to print a flightlog, but the waypoints are passed to the GoVFR site without their details and no way to check their positions (lat/long).
Together with this printed flightlog a general chart overview (whole navigation plan) would be nice for crew briefing and backup purposes.
Secondly I would like to have easy access to the lat/long of waypoints and navaids. Currently I can recall the details by "selecting" a feature which gives me a popup window with frequencies and type, but no lat/long to quickly program elsewhere in the aircraft.
Keep on with the good work, hoping for new features and improvements!

This is without a doubt the best iPad app ever. At least for aviator, that is. Air Navigation pro delivers what it promises, full moving map, simulated instruments, navigation plans, etc. And it all works flawlessly.
It is at some times noticable that the app requires a lot from the iPad resources, particularly when you pan the map. But only when you do this by hand, in flight, it moves incredibly smoothly.
The support the developer gives is another reason for buying this app. When I first installed, I noticed a small flaw in the shape of the EDLV (Niederrhein) Control Zone. I reporter this to the developer via his website and got a personal response quite quickly. He told me, he'd look into it and of my claim was legit, it would be solved in the next update. And it was.
My first flight using the app was fantastic, not really relying on it yet, but using it as a neat tool to monitor my progress. It gave me a little extra time to focus on the beautiful surroundings of the route between EHTE and EHBK.
Please spend you're money on this app. I think that will keep THE developer busy, improving the app even further. If it makes my point any stronger: I would also have bought the app of it had cost a hundred bucks. That is, knowing what I knowhow now.
