I booked a car via this app on Avis/Budget, but then when I got there to pick up the car they told me they don't accept “digital bank” cards, not due to some technical problem as they refused to even try, more like some high street bank lobby/agreement.
They told me this was on their terms of service, but it doesn't show on rentalcars agreement.
So I asked them to cancel the reservation and they couldn't as it was made via 3rd party, I contacted rentalcars and they said they couldn't cancel as it was already the time for pick up and they only refunded the insurance.
So I ended up wasting time and money with this app.
In the end, I went directly to Sixt, which gladly takes “digital bank” cards, with zero issues.
I will never rent a car via 3rd party again, if something goes wrong they are useless and add a layer of complication, and refuse to take any responsibility.
