Edit: all issues still exist, and now they’ve raised prices to €11,49 per passenger per ride! For what? “To protect our drivers and passengers.” You can do that for a lot less, while providing some actual service to you customers. Shameless greed. Reduced to 1 star.
Original review: I’m an ambassador with 25+ 5 star ratings. I like using the service, but there are some issues that are not being addressed. As many have mentioned before for years, language is a huge issue in the app. No option to change it from the default (which is the App Store language?). Other issues include a messaging system that deletes messages without telling you so or telling you why, which is extremely user unfriendly and has been creating much misunderstanding in my interactions with passengers. There are restrictive rules regarding ride options (no way to change arrival time if you want to drive slower than max speed), inflexible pricing info (“users might find cheaper rides”, even when this is clearly not the case), no permission to transfer goods or negotiate pricing - the list goes on. For a 6€ fee on every passenger, which is pretty hefty imo, I would expect some regular improvements and better service to customers. If an alternative to BlaBlaCar arises, I will be sure to give that a try instead.
